Coffee with Linda Fondren

We are dedicating this week of Coffee with… to the United Way of West Central Mississippi’s annual fundraising campaign.  This year’s theme is “Hands Across Our Communities.”

Today’s interview was taped back in August, but we held it in the queue for this week so we could focus our attention on this year’s campaign.

Linda Fondren, who is a well known face in our community thanks to her good works with Shape Up Vicksburg – and the fact that she was one of CNN’s Top 10 Heroes of 2010, sat down with Robyn Lea at the Highway 61 Coffee House to discuss her role as this year’s United Way Campaign Co-Chair.

Linda is very passionate about giving back to the community, specifically this community, but she also sees the good works that United Way does outside of Warren County and wants to help showcase those services.

Our local chapter of United Way helps to fund 21 agencies around the area, each of which relies heavily on the success of the fundraising campaign.

We urge you to give to United Way.

Linda also discusses the great things that Shape Up Vicksburg and Shape Up Sisters have to offer.  Learn lots, and let your fingers find your wallet as you enjoy a giving cup of Coffee with Linda Fondren!
